It is our passion for our dogs and everyone's dogs to be safe in our neighborhood. Sometimes our four legged friend slips out from under our noses. It's our hope to bring our neighbors together to help out when a dog gets lost and hopefully reunite a lost dog with their family.
I have had a passion for animals my whole life and can't count the number of times I have helped someone with a dog. Lost, found, needing medical attention or whatever, I have always given my heart to help. I donate to many organizations and adopt from shelters.
Many years ago, when our dog was 18 months old, she got spooked while hiking in the desert. I spent two days in the desert searching for her. It was 25 degrees, snowing very cold, windy and scary in the dark. I was successful, because I had the passion to find her. She is now over 15 years old and never lets me out of her sight.
We have designed a Neighborhood Website, called Dawgone.com, which is now up and operating. The site is for dog or any kind of pet owner on The Island in the Willows. It's a private website and a password will be given to owners who are registered. You can communicate to our email and it's a FREE service. If your dog gets lost, contact us at islanddog@dawgone.com and we will immediately send out an ALERT. We'll even comb the neighborhood and help you search for your pet.
Don't forget, never buy from a pet store or puppy mill. There are thousands of homeless animals and they need homes so badly. Be sure and spay and neuter your pets to avoid more over population. There are over 23,000 animals euthanized in El Paso each year.
Please contact us at islanddog@dawgone.com. Call me 800 219-4286. We would be happy to answers any questions.
